Richfield MN Open Concept Remodel

This is a smaller home close to Lake Nakomis in south Minneapolis. The homeowner is an elderly gentleman that had some water damage on the main floor due to plumbing issues. We responded to their needs with a short notice service to help clean up the water damage. Much of the flooring, walls, doors, and more were damaged and needed to be removed. This raised questions about a long overdue need to bring the home up to date. We discussed some options with the homeowner and provided them with our Xact Twin design/build services.

The home had been added onto creating some oddly sized and shaped rooms. The kitchen was very small and needed to be renovated. We came up with a design to remove 4 load carrying walls and open up the space into a larger more open kitchen and dining area with a pantry closet. We transformed the home into a transitional modern open kitchen with an updated bathroom and mudroom layout.
